[This really should be Megami's post because she did the research and a HUGE part of the effort to do the video clip was hers. The only thing I contributed was my awesome directing skills. Hm, now that I think about it, that makes it about even, doesn't it?]
We recently got it into our minds to make our own videos for our posts and so we had to start collecting pictures to make the videos with. Megami stumbled across some information that DBSK’s Rising Sun was used in the latest Fast and the Furious movie. Sadly, it’s uncredited and being professing skeptics, we thought we’d watch the movie.
We thought it would be in a car chase scene because of the beat so I was expecting it to be a bit in the middle part of the movie. I almost forgot that we were watching out for the song (Megami didn’t) but as soon as we recognized the song, we squealed were very happy. We chattered excitedly for the entire time it was used in the movie… all 40 seconds of it.
Quite noteworthy, isn’t it? We do wonder why it was uncredited and left out of the soundtrack. We decided (I suggested it KINDLY and Megami did not say no) that Megami would create a video clip as a recognition of sorts for our favorite band.

The Korean version of this song was included in the Rising Sun album, so this is relatively an old(?) song.^_^ I loved that version but it was a bit hard singing it, so I was really happy when I heard the Japanese version. (I sing better in Japanese^_^). This is one of my favorite songs also. The video included features Tohoshinki during their 1st Live Tour in Japan. Hopefully I can be as good as them in speaking Japanese so that I can translate their songs. DBSK fighting!

I went out today with a friend and she mentioned she wanted to buy some dangly earrings. Being the very, nice kind friend that I am, I offered that we look around the mall so that she can buy one that caught her interest.
As usually happens, my friend ended up buying nothing, while I am the one who ends up with the purchase. I have been looking for ear cuffs for some time but none of the stalls in the mall had them. Or maybe they did but they had a different name? But lo and behold, today of all days, the stall we went to actually had one! They didn’t call it an ear cuff though, I think.
For people who don’t know what an ear cuff is, or maybe call it a different name, they’re those that hang on your ear. You don’t need piercings for them. You just need to tighten the clasp so that it doesn’t fall off. There are those that pierce through the lobe though, but I don’t want them because I am not interested in piercing the cartilaginous part of my ears. Read the rest of this entry »
The guys sang this song during the Tokyo Dome Tour. This will be released on Sept 30 (in Japan of course) with only Jaejoong and Yoochun as the main singers, unlike their other songs. For the first time, the guys are releasing a duet.^_^ When Yunho asked what the title’s meaning was, Jaejoong said that he was “melody” and Yoochun was “harmony’. Hmmm… I wonder if that imparted any meaning at all…^_^ As for the song’s recording, Jaejoong’s part went smoothly but for Yoochun, he had to do it three times because his throat was not well. Poor Yoochun.^_^ But it is actually very nice song, and the two harmonizes quite beautifully.^_^ Sasuga da ne, Tohoshinki.^_^

I recently learned to caption videos so I thought I’d make my own video to use for the blog. I chose my favorite song among all DBSK/Tohoshinki songs, Miduhyo. The English translation is my own version based from my understanding of all the translations I’ve seen. I edited them to go for “thought” rather than a direct translation. I would like to continue using our own videos but I don’t know… I think I’d run out of hard drive space to get the pictures!
Ok, I have to admit that I did not know this. One of DBSK/Tohoshinki songs is part of the original soundtrack of the Japanese movie “Dance Subaru”. The song is “Bolero”, and I really regret not knowing this earlier. And not only do they sing the original soundtrack, they also have a special appearance on that movie!^_^ They guest as themselves and perform in a club singing “The Way You Are”.
The movie tells the struggles of young aspiring ballerina Subaru. Her twin brother who shares her passion for dance dies at the young age of 10 and her father is against Subaru pursuing a career in dance. Subaru meets retired ballerina Isuzu (now a cabaret owner) who encourages her. Later, Subaru meets Liz Park, a Korean American ballerina who challenges her at an International Ballet Competition in Shanghai. With odds against her, will Subaru be able to claim the much coveted title?
This movie is based on a popular Japanese manga of the same title and was released March this year. The movie stars Meisa Kuroki, Sano Miku, Go Ara, Yuta Hiraoka, Ken Maeda, and Toshio Kakei. Original soundrack was sung by Koda Kumi (Faraway) and Tohoshinki (Bolero).

Waaah! I just read this today. It would be great if it came true! The news is on PEP.
Why? “To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Philippines-Republic of Korea Diplomatic Relations, the Korean embassy is holding a cultural festival November this year.” The Korean embassy is going to invite cultural performers from Korea and, when asked, there is a possibility of KPop stars being among that “cultural performers.” Kiejoo Kim, Counselor for the Korean Embassy said that if there is great public demand through “surveys, blogs, signature drives, and other platforms,” the Korean embassy might bring KPop stars currently popular in the Philippines. Groups that were listed in the news were Wonder Girls, Rain, SNSD, Super Junior, DBSK, Se7en, BoA, TVXQ, 2PM, Big Bang and Sandara Park’s 2ne1.
So where do we go to make these demands? Between now and November, it’s just a short time! It’d be great even if DBSK wouldn’t be able to come as long as some of the other ones I’m mildly interested in can. But if DBSK were to come, I might just go (I RARELY go to concerts)! ^_^
